As-Built CAD Drawings
Accurate existing conditions drawings extracted from laser scan data.
What Are As-Built CAD Drawings?
As-built CAD drawings are precise two-dimensional representations of a building's existing conditions, produced from verified laser scan data. Unlike outdated original construction drawings, as-built measured drawings reflect the building as it actually stands today, capturing every wall offset, structural deviation, and modification made since original construction.
We produce a full range of existing conditions drawings, including floor plans, building elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and cross-sections. Each drawing is drafted in AutoCAD to professional production standards with proper layering, dimensioning, and annotation. These drawings serve as the authoritative reference for renovation design, permit applications, space planning, and facility documentation.
Our floor plan drafting and measured drawing services support architecture, engineering, and property management teams in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and throughout Canada. Whether you need a single floor plan or a complete drawing package for a multi-storey building, every drawing we deliver is extracted directly from scan data and verified for accuracy.
Who Needs As-Built CAD Drawings?
Architects
Begin your design work from verified existing conditions instead of assumptions. Accurate as-built floor plans and elevations eliminate field conflicts and reduce change orders during construction.
Interior Designers
Get dimensionally accurate floor plans and reflected ceiling plans for space planning, furniture layouts, and finish schedules. Reliable base drawings streamline the design process from concept through documentation.
Renovation Contractors
Bid and plan renovation projects with confidence using verified existing-conditions drawings. Accurate wall locations, ceiling heights, and structural positions reduce surprises once demolition begins.
Property Managers
Maintain current, accurate floor plans for lease administration, tenant fit-outs, and building operations. As-built drawings provide the documentation your property needs for ongoing management and planning.
Our CAD Drafting Process
Scan Data Review
We review the registered point cloud to confirm coverage, assess building complexity, and identify drawing scope. Floor-by-floor slice plans are generated from the point cloud to guide the drafting process.
Drawing Setup & Standards
AutoCAD files are configured with proper scales, layer structures, title blocks, and annotation standards. If your firm has specific CAD standards, we adopt them. Otherwise, we apply industry-standard conventions.
Drafting & Dimensioning
Walls, doors, windows, columns, stairs, and other building elements are drafted directly from the point cloud data. Key dimensions, room labels, and annotations are added per the agreed scope.
Quality Check & Delivery
Every drawing is reviewed against the source point cloud for accuracy, checked for drafting errors, and verified for completeness. Final deliverables are provided in .DWG and .PDF formats via secure file transfer.
What You Receive
Your drawing package includes production-ready AutoCAD files and matching PDFs, formatted for immediate use in your design or documentation workflow. Common drawing types include:
- Floor plans with dimensions and room labels
- Building elevations (exterior and interior)
- Reflected ceiling plans
- Building cross-sections
All drawings are produced from verified laser scan data with typical dimensional accuracy of 3-5 mm. Drawings are delivered with proper layering, dimensioning, and annotation per project specifications.
Each delivery includes the AutoCAD source files, PDF plot sets, and a drawing index. For multi-floor projects, drawings are organised by level with consistent sheet numbering.
